Fantastic and classy villa, beautifully decorated and very aristocratic! It's hard to imagine that such a quiet, tranquil place exists in the heart of an otherwise bustling place and it's so near the sea (and golf course if you're into that). The garden and size of pool was really an unexpected surprise. The garden is well kept and you could spend all day by the pool, or go to one of the nearby beaches. Loads of flat garden for children to play safely all day in full view. All our meals were cooked by our arranged live-in Christina and we ate Al-Fresco nearly every day- such a treat! Also the beds and bathrooms were cleaned perfectly every day so it really felt like we were in a 5-star hotel. At night the garden lights up and you see the pool glowing, the fountain sprinkling it's water- it kind of feels like a film. Especially since the decor is so "old-worldy" - cosy downstairs and on the bedroom floors, highly classy in the dining room/living room area. Even the inside of the lift is amazingly decorated!
The weather wasn't for completely great when we were there so the pool wasn't enjoyed as much but hopefully we will stay gain over the summer and make the most of it. We did go to the beach though which is about 15 minutes away, though the coastline continues for miles southward and there are many beaches and resorts very close.
I highly recommend this house for anyone who visits Athens and wants to be near the sea as opposed to the more polluted center near the Acropolis. You're in the city, still it doesn't feel that way at all.
If you're into modern, minimal interiors though, this is not the house for you.
