Arrived at the Resort on the 22nd for a 3night visit to celebrate my wife's birthday. I must say this hotel and its location rates up there with the best in the world. The food was nice, the staffs super friendly and welcoming, We got a nice surprise at check-in, our accommodation was upgraded for no extra charge.
Shame we could not stay for longer. I wonder why this place is not on the list of the wonders of the world? The tranquillity and peace is second to none. Really there is no gimmick, just serenity and peace!

Nice resort near Athens. Accompanied SO for a conference. Great service, bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival, extensive breakfast buffet. The room was amazing, luxurious, huge, spotless, with a sauna and jet tub. The room was definitely the best part. The beach is rocky, and the resort is not located near anything interesting. By November most of the resort was shutting down for the season, but I imagine the restaurants and bars on site would have enlivened the experience. It's an expensive place and even if it were in my price range, not sure this is where I would splurge, but overall nice.

Room Tip: We stayed in one of the villas on the beach without the private pool.

I was there in April 24-26 to attend a conference.

On arrival at the airport, we were greeted by the conference organiser and the Rep from the resort. He then escorted us to the transport which was an Alphard similar vehicle. It was spacious and comfortable. Driver was with very good command of English. The journey took around 40mins to reach the resort.

The check in was ok, though can tell that they were swamped with all the delegates checking in around the same time. However, I have to wait for about 10-15mins for their GRO to show me to my room, plus another 3-5mins wait for a buggy.

The resort is really huge and thank God my room is not too far from the lobby or conference area. I was pleasantly surprise that my room has my own private gym (which I am thankful for) as I am far away from their gym facilities.

The room (Deluxe Suite with Gym) is huge, with a living room, TV was huge but kind of outdated, as they are still using projection TV. Jaccuzi bathtub, Shower Room that can double up as steam room. Small TV were available for you to watch while you relax in the bathtub (though angle of the TV seems difficult to watch it). There is a TV even in the WC room.

Breakfast, we have the norm of what the resort serving to other hotel guests. Great spread and variety.

Conference's lunch and dinner were catered by the resort, which is great variety and great taste too.

The resort has a number of F&B outlets which all of them has a splendid view of the area, and each outlet has their own distinctive character.

However, I do think it is time for the resort to go through some refurbishment as their rooms and facilities looks dated.

Service were great. Servers were very attending and helpful.

Room Tip: I think all their rooms are great regardless of which one you are staying for. If you have a special...

I accompanied my wife to Grand Resort Lagonissi for a conference from May 12 through 14, 2014.

Locations and Traffic Information:
The resort itself is a small peninsula located south to Athens, about 40 minute drive from Plaka, Athens and 35 minutes from Athens International Airport.

Hotel and guest room:
We stayed in a “Luxury Room” of “Comfort Club” Class in the main building. It was only 22 square meter, unbelievable small for a 5-star resort. The room was clean. The mattress was a little bit soft for us. We were surprised that there were no hot pot and no mugs to make tea or coffee in the room. One of the room light was broken. There was no door hanger for “Do not disturb” and/or “Please service the room” in my room. The French window to the patio was not sound proof for haunting wind. There was only one single blinding curtain, not very friendly if you would like to allow some light in with privacy. Small hand towel was not a standard item in the bathroom. There is no complimentary bottled water in the room. On the plus side, all rooms have a great sea view.
Part of the resort is under renovation. Overall, you would love the spectacular sea view of surrounding the resort.

Restaurant:
The complimentary buffet breakfast at Aphrodite Restaurant is one of the best in 5-star hotel.

Service:
Wireless internet is unstable in the guest room but OK in the main lobby. The staffs are very friendly.
The resort is great for conference. Of all the “Exclusive Club” bungalows with heated pool that we could easily view from outside, bungalow 129 is the best.

Room Tip: Avoid small "Luxury Room" of "Comfort Club" class. Of all the “Exclusive Club...

Spent 5 days here...for a conference.
Great views...warm service...clean...
Had a 'bungalow'...with access to a privacy beach. The water was crystal clean and the view was divine..
The property is spread out and getting around it walking, running or in a club cart just made you get deeper in the good feeling...
Great for couples...for a family..fantastic.
The bungalow I had was spacious and opened on to a varendah that looked over the sea. The sound of the sea and the breeze make sure we did not have to use air-conditioning. Was a good time in the year to be there.
The food was expensive but top class. Many outlets and options.
Breakfast was varied and good of good quality and taste.
Gym was good and the pool was very good.
The Temple of Poseidon was not so far with a scenic route.
A bit away from the centre of Athens but worth it.

Room Tip: Splurge on a bungalow. They all look over the sea.

Very peaceful, about 45 mins away from the main Athens city where most restaurants and bars are located. Perfect for a peaceful break.

I attended an event, Destination Wedding Planners conference there and had a great experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Standard rooms were average but the beach villas seemed quite nice. I had a brilliant sea view from the room.

Just before sunset go to the shore and rest on the sun beds while you watch the sun sinking. The sound of the waves crashing into the rocks is just serene.

The event lunch was organised at the outdoor terrace overlooking the sea.

Although there isn't much to do in the vicinity besides the beach and restaurants in the resort.

We just stayed at this hotel last week and I would have to say our review is mixed. First of all we paid a lot for one of the small villas on the far side of the resort. It felt like we were the only ones there and we were happy to have a private beach experience in Greece until we walked around the resort and saw the northern side which was SO SO much nicer. The villas aren't even close (the northern ones are so much nicer). The booking was extremely complicated to figure out and frankly we weren't exactly sure what we were getting. They need to clarify and simplify their booking policy and be clear about which beach and which type of villa you are booking. If I had it to do over again, I would have complained and tried to be moved to a nicer villa. The breakfast was great and they can accommodate any dietary needs. The beaches and restaurants were beautiful. The prices were so high though that we used out car and went out to dinner. Also the massive resort was pretty empty so it was more fun to go to the local restaurants. We had fabulous dinners out in the small town tavernas. All in all, it was a treat to be at this resort but for the price all of the facilities should be as advertised (a whole section of the beach and dock pool just doesn't exist) and it top condition. MY advice to this hotel: simplify and clarify your booking policies, offer reasonable rates for the small villas and main resort and start actually booking rooms AND change your website to reflect what actually exists on the property! It appears misleading when it is not as advertised! You are also making it too difficult to travel to your resort with 8 million different "clubs" - what the heck are these? Oh also, we called for a jet ski and didn't hear back for a hour. We called again..."checking into it, we have not forgotten about you." two days later they still had never called back. If you go here (and it is worth it for privacy and beaches close to Athens) then be sure to insist on a northern villa.

Room Tip: North/east a thousand times better!
