We left our key at the front desk for our room to be cleaned while we were visiting Tikal. Returned to an uncleaned room and missing $500 US dollars from our room.
DO NOT TRUST!

We spent 2 night at the hotel.

The hotel is located in an inner street building, with few floors of rooms and no view.
The room was simple, with double bed, closet and TV.
Private bathroom and hot water of good quality.

Breakfast was not included, but the food of the restaurant was good.

The crew was very nice and helpful, which covered for their partial English.

All in all, this felt more of a "locals" hotel. We found the price high for the value given (about 250Qs).

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in June 2011 for two nights. The hotel was very quiet and empty when we arrived. The staff was hanging around in the reseption and looked annoyed when we arrived. When we left the key in the reseption to the manager to go out for dinner, the key was lying at the same spot when we came back, easy for anyone to grab.

The next day we ordered breakfast. We did not have much time since we got picked up to go to Tical, I therefor told the waitress that we only had 20 minutes. She said that was not a problem. We then ordered breakfast, but after 7 min, she came back and told us that they didn't have one of our choises. We ordered a different breakfast, but again, after 7 min, she came back and told us they did't have our other choise. At the end, we didn't get any breakfast at all...

We also delivered our clothes for laundry. When we came to pick it up, nobody knew anything about it (and nobody speaks English). We were told to come back at five o'clock. When we did, nobody knew anything, and we were told to come back 6 o'clock, only to see that the clothes still was not there.

The location is ok, the air condition is very lound, and it is not possible to regulate it, you have to choose between very cold, or no air condition at all. The service is terrible, and the rooms are small, nothing more than ok. The wifi does not work. I recomend to look for an other hotel.

“Very comfortable and well located. The staff is extremely helpfull, Ramon is the best one for advice and solve anything you want, he went with me at 5am to arrange a tour to Tikal, the tour was excellent, good transport and guide at the ruins. The hotel has a restaurant with tasty food, the room was very clean, with tv, aircon, fan, hot water. For the price was really a bargain and one of my best experience in this trip. I strongly recommend this place for stay in Flores.

This hotel has an old and stately feel to it -- the rooms are simple, clean, and comfortable -- and was the first place we stayed with air conditioning (which is a huge plus in Flores, because it gets hot!). Try to get a room with a balcony, or next to a balcony ... we were close by, and grabbed a few chairs to sit out on the terrace overlooking the street -- with two glasses, a bottle of rum, and a bottle of coke. The perfect way to spend an evening! In the morning, we took a boat ride to Isla San Miguel, a small island where we "explored" ... we ran into an archaeological dig site, then made it up to the Mirador (beautiful view of the isthmus of Flores). Some nice visitors we met offered to drive us to Petencito, a quick 10 minute ride by car, and definitely worth the visit! (also accessible by boat) -- a small animal preserve, you can see puma, jaguars, monkeys (on the trails and in cages), and much more!

I did not mind this place at all. It was clean, the concierge was very helpful. After we had checked out, they let us rent our room again for a few hours to get out of the heat before our night-bus to Guatemala City left. I would recommend spending the extra few Q to get the air-conditioning because it was blistering hot when we were there. There are no frills here, but there is a restaurant in the hotel and the food is not bad. At least you don't have to go far for a cold beer.

This place is an old-timer and offers a good option for a couple of nights sleep...we stayed on the third floor in an air con room for $30/night. The location is good, although Flores is small and so everywhere is within walking distance. The staff are reasonably friendly, a water dispenser is in reception for guest use and the hotel has internet (and wifi for Qu20/$3 per day) They have nice narrow balconies all around the hotel but no outside space/garden. The room was adequate if not slightly dated and was serviced daily. The air con wasn't particularly effective and we did got hot during the night. There is reliable cable t.v. and hot water. The bathrooms were slightly tired and did suffer with cracks in the ceramic and a problem with ants. Overall, not a bad choice with all the facilities.
