What a charming hotel. Stayed here for 4 night in March. I had a well appointed room overlooking the street that for some reason had two double beds, but never mind. The beds were very comfy and the room was quiet. The room had shutters so I could black out all light which was just what I needed after a long bus trip from Mexico. There's a nice restaurant downstairs where you can get a latte (order a cappuccino) and pretty good breakfast (not included in price of the room), and there's wifi in the lobby area which is small, comfortable and usually pretty quiet. They'll bring you a latte there if you ask. The staff are young and in some cases inexperienced but always eager to please. From what I saw, this hotel does not offer a tour and travel service, but there is an excellent travel desk at Los Amigos Hostel a five minute walk away.

Room Tip: Choose on of the renovated rooms and have them turn on the AC for you to check noise levels before y...

This hotel was a really nice surprise. From reserving/confirming to the actual stay, service was great. We came off an 8 hr shuttle to stay in Flores (which is HOT) so it was nice to get to the room and turn on the AC, take a nice shower and cool off. Yea there was some construction noise on our floor but we were up in the morning before it began and you could barely hear it with the AC on anyway! We didn't get to use the pool but we did go up there twice to check out the view and both times it was empty. I am sure it would have been a quiet, relaxing time in the pool if we would've had more time.

I definitely recommend you stay at Hotel Isla de Flores!

What a gem in flores! Clean, neat, new rooms with air conditioning- perfect to escape the heat of flores. Sweet decor as well and staff is super nice. It is close to the water and even has a nice pool on the roof deck. They had someone pick us up at the airport which was quite nice.

We spent 3 nights there either side of a 2 day visit to Tikal. Apart from some renovation work noise, everything was very positive. Recommend one of the new rooms. Roof top swim pool very welcomed. Ladies on the Reception Desk were extremely helpful and pleasant.

I stayed there during Easter week and it is by far the nicest hotel in the island of Flores.

I specially loved:
— The rooftop pool, with service fromthe restaurant
— Location, loved being able to just walk around the island
— Pancakes with cinnamon roll topping, soooo good!
— Capresse Quesadillas at the bar
— Micheladas at Remolino bar are so good
— AC cooled down the room so quickly
— Gift Shop: bought the nicest typic fabric handbag, and delicious soaps, also mosquito repellant wristbands
— Love the room decoration, beds are really comfy and also loved having a bathtub

If you want to stay cheap, please go elsewhere. My wife and I were on honeymoon and even if we are backpackers this time we've decided to put costs in second place. Moreover I was recovering from a food poisoning so I deserved to rest well.
The place is clean and well mantained and it has a terrace with a hydromassage pool, chairs and a wonderfull view of the lake at sunset.
They offered us to choose between the "new" and "old" room and in we opted for the latter (45€/night). The room features all you need: queen size bed with good matress, LCD tv (never used), semi automatic AC and hot bath-shower. The "new" was better and newer but it costs 10€ more.
The restaurant serves good dishes at medium prices. The Special hamburger with caramelized onions and avocado is at the top.
I've only to complain that at those prices it should have come with included breakfast, but when after a ride in Tikal you chill out in the pool drinking a cold Gallo at sunset everything becomes meaningless.

The hotel is ok. Rooms are small but clean. We changed for a room on the 3rd floor to have a lake view. Overall value was ok, but "breakfast" not worth the money. The only issues we had were with the hotel transport. On arrival we waited more than half an hour - on our way back we almost missed the flight because the transport didn't come in time and we had to take a tuctuc. So rather organize your own transport and skip this freebee.
