we just stopped off here as we had some time to spare and were fascinated not just with the barbed wire but all the other exhibits and photos they have--well worth a visit.

“One of The Best in the Panhandle”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2012

You just...must visit this museum. Not only is everyone just downright friendly, but the museum is quite a plus plus. So many quite interesting things to see...and talking with the locals - it's great. The main room is bright and full of all the things that can actually make barbed wire interesting.
This is a terrific place.
Visit!
Enjoy!

This is a very good snapshot of Texas pioneer days. There is a Route 66 Museum in the same building.

“For non-cowboys who always wanted to be one”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 27, 2012

Devil's Rope = barbed wire. Yup, over 1000 different kinds, with the old tools used to make it and string it. Even some barbed wire sculpture. Also lots of other cowboy and old west memorabilia. And it's FREE. Easy off and back on the freeway.

“A Hidden Jem-Well worth the stop”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2011

This is an amazing little place. Some of the barbed-wire items are incredible.
Allow at least an hour or more to appreciate everything they have to offer.

No charge when we went but donations are appreciated. You will be glad you stopped!
