Spoons is one of the few breakfast places right on the historic courthouse square and has a lot going on for it just in ambience. Now that the square has been redone and the construction is over, Spoons has added a small seating area outside (about eight or so tables for two) and we enjoyed that this morning. We've been several times and just rave about the apple smoked bacon. The food is very good. The service, though friendly, seems always to be a little behind the ball though so you will probably have to ask for more coffee, salt, jam, ketchup, etc. Somehow, although this is somewhat aggravating, it is eclipsed by the atmosphere and home-spun type warmth of the place. Spoons is very popular and there is usually a bit of a wait - the most we've encountered was fifteen to twenty minutes. Great place for people watching and for doing some window shopping before or after your meal.
