“Food is terrible!”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

Sorry to say this but the food was bad, really bad. My daughter suggested we visited Cafe Malaga and we were so exited to have found something different, we both love paella and were looking forward to this meal, what a dissapointment, the rice was horrible the shrimp was raw, the flavor was anything but paella, the sangria was cheap and horrible. I will never go back there and do not recommend it. Plus is way to expensive!!!

“Food OK but don't eat outside”
Reviewed June 15, 2012

This is our second visit to Cafe Malaga - first since it chaged location & ownership.
We came for lunch and there was plenty of tables open. As it was a nice afternoon we took an outside table. BIG mistake as the fly problem is horrible. As soon as the first plate arrived, we were overrun.
Service was a little too slow for lunch and one of our party had to leave as courses were coming much too slow and servers were invisible mostly on a very slow day.
If you have ever been to Spain or South America and had tapas, you will be dissapointed with the offerings here - just appetizers and not really Tapas as you would have remembered. Still, they were good although I would pass on the sub-par Hummus which was not flavorful and rather drab. I would also skip the Calamari. Lamb was juicy and the stuffed red peppers were tasty as were the figs wrapped in bacon.
I will try again but in evening and INSIDE!

A word of warning to the disabled, this is NOT the place for you.

“great food, grumpy service”
Reviewed May 29, 2012

The food is wonderful! So many delicious dishes. Order as tapas so you can try several new things each visit. No idea why, but wait staff is consistently on the cross side. We just ignore it. My favorites are the bacon wrapped dates and the sautee'd spinich. There are also some yummy steak dishes. There is live music evenings.

“Great Outdoor Dining!”
Reviewed May 26, 2012

We dined here for a Mother's Day celebration and were very pleased with the scenic outdoor seating availabe under huge shade trees which is very important in the Texas heat. The service was very quick and efficient. I recommend the sangria. The menu offers a wide selection of Spanish Tapas and we sampled several. The quality of the food was excellent and quite different from most of restaurants in this area. We enjoyed the whole dining experience and never felt rushed. We will definitely come back.
