“Small "gem" of a restaurant in downtown McKinney!!!”

Our first dining experience at Gregory's Bistro and we were pleasantly surprised with exceptional food and service. We were able to bring our own wine and saw that another diner had just visited the wine shop across the street...will try that next time;-)

Tonight's featured entrée was pan- seared Alaskan Halibut with a Texas goat cheese & chives risotto and white asparagus...it was amazing!!!

For fine dining this is the best food and intimate atmosphere we have had in McKinney. It was a very memorable date night.

“Small, intimate with a good menu!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

Right off square in historic downtown McKinney. Small, but Great menu! Enjoyed the soup du jour, smoked salmon with a different twist, penne pasta, and a moist pork chop were all very good. Nice portions for lunch! Larger servings offered for dinner! Extremely friendly wait staff!

We frequently travel to downtown McKinney for dinner with Gregory and Lydia. They and their wait staff treat you like family. A very small place, sometimes difficult to get a reservation. Food is pricy but consistently excellent. If you forget to bring your wine, there's a great wine store across the street!

“excellent”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 18, 2013

i was in McKinney for a business meeting and checked this place out on trip advisor. I took someone's advice and went across the street and got a half bottle of wine. Nice man at the wine store as well. Food was great. Service was great. They treated me like I was a regular. the place filled up by 7:30. I had their grilled salad, I know it sounds weird but it was great. the rib eye with sauce was excellent, as was the layered cake for desert.

“Delicieux!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

We went here for a friends birthday and it was fantastic! Grilled Cesar was a great recommendation by our server, Joe. The mixed greens salad and its dressing were a perfect match. We were very excited about the entrees, but the salads surprised us! Don't pass up the mussels either. Chef Gregory prepares a different broth every day for the mussels, so its always something unique. Sea bass, pork chop and lamb loin special were all perfectly prepared. Finish it all off with the bread pudding! I would disagree with negative comments regarding ambiance. The place is quaint, but not crowded and the conversation at every table create a lively environment where everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Nothing about this place is stale or boring. Can't wait for a return visit....very soon!
