I just stayed at the hotel for a week so I got to try several of the new menu items which were all good. I was going to order the nacho appetizer and soup, but the nachos were so large I never got to the soup. The portion was large and very good. They didn't use the usual nacho chips: the ones they used were thicker and smaller. I also tried the crab cakes which were delicious, as were the tacos. I did try the tortilla soup a couple of days later and it was delicious. However it was more of a consume than a caldo: very light.

My husband tried the red snapper and said it was great.

My very favorite item was the crackling shrimp salad. Try it!

Liked everything - no dislikes. The margaritas at the lobby bar are a perfect way to get things going and Danny the bartender makes also a famous and fabulous bloody Mary as well as a Sangria for the ladies.

The restaurant is nice and the food is great. This restaurant has a real chef with unique creations. I recently heard a rumor of a new crusted steak, can't wait to try it. The servers are very attentive.

The restaurant is adjacent to a beautiful garden which is even more compelling for those of us from the Great White North who visit in December having just flown down from the frozen, white wasteland.
We have eaten breakfasts here many times (proly 12) over the past ten years. They all have been quite delicioso. One can get Mexican b-fast, Gringo b-fast as well as Hippie fruit and yogurt b-fasts. We have also have enjoyed the room service from the kitchen while staying at the Casa del Palmas and have always been content with the food. The service in the restaurant is usually good with one exception where the server was probably new.
