This was our second time to stay at the Hotel Matador. We stayed in the room downstairs. Everything was great again this time. Everyone was very friendly and breakfast was outstanding. Will stay again next time we come through and would recommend to anyone traveling through.

My husband and I stayed here last night on a one night stay driving through west Texas. Linda and Marilyn, were very kind and hospitable. Room rate was very reasonable. Included breakfast and free wifi. We stayed in the library room, which was small but clean and no bathtub. Only a small shower.
this is a one horse town. Dont expect anything but peace and quiet.

A colleague and I stayed at this super small B&B for only 1 night, but wished we could have stayed a lot longer. From the lovely accommodations to the friendly owners/staff to the incredible breakfast, everything was great about our stay! The breakfast was wonderful--green chile fritatta and an apple crisp with creme fresh were two of the highlights.

I stayed in the Matador Ranch room and my co-worker stayed in the School Room (which really touched her heart since her grandma was a teacher!) My room was full of red--my favorite color.

Marilynn, the proprietor, was a sweet, sweet woman who helped with restaurant recommendations (only a couple to choose from) and also made sure we felt at home. I can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Matador Ranch is on the backside of the B&B and overlooks the (very small) patio area.

The reception here was warm and gracious. The property had many historical and antique pieces which are lovingly cared for. Breakfast was fantastic and the best I have ever eaten in a B&B. Management was very attentive. It is located in a small town which was very quiet at night. I would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel Matador to anyone traveling to West Texas.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Matador. They have taken a truly wonderful old building and made it a comfortable place to stay! The breakfast was delicious and the hospitality was superb.

We stayed one night at the Hotel Matador and we started planning our return before we even left. If you just want a place to kick back and relax, this is a good place to do it. We enjoyed the early evening in their courtyard and the downstairs common area is a nice place to read books and magazines. The rooms are very clean and furnished with fun historic furniture. Each room has a theme. We stayed in the School Daze room which was furnished with several desks. Breakfast was incredible. The best part was the relaxed friendly way Marilyn and Linda handled their business.

Room Tip: The town is very quiet so I would say all rooms front or back are fairly quiet. Folks in the two ro...

Linda greeted us and showed us to our room. It was comfortable and perfect for our two night stay. These ladies have taken a building that was in total shambles and turned it into a lovely B&B with so much character and charm. The breakfast was fantastic. We had a wonderful time, met interesting people and enjoyed our short getaway. Linda, Marilyn and Caron have created a jewel of a B&B. We hope to return one day and will certainly recommend it to our friends.

Room Tip: Each room has different decor. All the rooms that we saw were well done.
