The Paisano is beautiful and full of historic charm. The rooms were comfortable and cozy and it was great value for the money. The on-site restaurant was delicious. I couldn't believe I was in small town West Texas based on the quality of the food.

We stayed here one night and we really liked it. Fun and very historic hotel in Marfa. It has a great courtyard and attached gift shops and restaurant. Loved the decorating style throughout the lobby, restaurant and bar, and guest rooms. It's expensive but it is really nice. Staff were all very helpful as well. Be prepared, this is an OLD hotel and they have made a big effort to preserve its original character and charm, so the rooms are small, bathrooms are tiny, but it is all very quaint.

If you must stay in Marfa this is the place. Nice older renovated hotel.
A litlle pricy for the location. OK rooms but have thin walls. Small bathrooms.
Friendly staff. Nice restaurant and lounge but over priced for drink and the food quality. Service was average. Nothing to see or do in Marfa. I would not return. Town of about 2000 in west Texas that is like a ghost town. Downtown is vacant.

A friend and I and her two dogs spent two great nights in the Dennis Hopper suite. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more dog friendly. A charming oasis well situated in the middle of Marfa. Room was comfortable but not luxurious. Great gift shops. And we enjoyed the restaurant too. Definitely the best place to stay in Marfa.

We were able to stay in the Paisano hotel for one night just recently and were lucky to get the one night as a wedding party had booked the hotel for the weekend. There is a lot of impressive tile in the hotel and it is clear that it was built in another era. The rooms are huge (at least ours were). The bathrooms, however, are very small. We were fortunate enough to have a patio over the fountain that was quite pleasant at this time of year. (room 230). Our friend had a room on the lower floor which had two beds, a full sitting area and an even smaller bathroom than we had, but that room also had a screened in porch (no view--in an alley), that was quite comfortable. The lobby is very different from anything you are likely to see built today.

The beds were comfortable and the receptionist was quite friendly and answered all our very nosy questions. Upon check out we did ask if we could see the Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor suites and were able to gawk at them before we left. I have vowed to return when I can book the Rock Hudson suite which had quite a reasonable price and is huge (Liz had a nice set of rooms, but nothing like Rock's!). There is also a little shopping in the lobby and, of course, a room devoted to Giant, to give you something to do.

Room Tip: The Rock Hudson appears well worth the cost. I liked room 230 because it had a nice sized balcony o...

We visited this Historic beautiful old Hotel. It is a must see. The Lobby and Courtyard harkens back to the days of Travel in Texas in the 1930's. Great Gift Shop. Our only disappointment was that the Restaurant is only open at night.

Great staff and beautiful lobby and courtyard. The room with the Giant memorabilia was quite fun. The rooms were cozy and clean. The pool looked nice and so did the restaurant, didn't have time to visit any of them though. A lovely hotel in a cute little town.
