Not your typical B&B. The hosts are wonderful. The rooms are unique, large and quiet. Morning breakfast is gourmet. Three day stay for us -- really enjoyed the short vacation...........................

Eve's Garden specializes in environmental sound building for itself and advises others on building process. If this were a large hotel, we would say the atrium is a green house about 100 feet long. The currently constructed 7 rooms open into the green house. The construction is done with special light weight high r factor bricks that they make on site. The color selection is also unique. This place may not be for everyone but for those with a love of plants and have some environmental focus, it is fabulous. The Breakfast part of the B&B was outstanding each of the three mornings we were there. It is located about 40 miles from Big Bend border and about 70 miles from Park HQ.

Room Tip: Ask for the room with the arched ceiling but all rooms are nice.

Bottom line up front, you will be glad you stayed here. Owners are friendly and incredibly interesting. They've built most of the property themselves from papercrete and each room is unique and the whole place is wonderfully eclectic. They have a beautiful nursery with gorgeous flowers which is quite nice in the desert. Our breakfast consisted of lemon ricotta pancakes with lemon curd and blueberries, locally made sausage, and locally made goat milk's yogurt. All excellent. They also upgraded our room for free since the larger rooms hadn't been reserved. Really enjoyed staying here.

Great, relaxing place with many spots on-site to hide out and enjoy nature. The stars are amazing. Hello Milky Way! The rooms are secluded like cottages. Very comfortable and a great shower with seemingly endless hot water. There is a spot with coffee, tea and beer keg open 24 hours. Breakfasts are healthy and tasty. Two types of frittatas one day (and fresh peach crisp) and custard with fruit, french toast and bacon the next day. There is a small grocery store within walking distance. Great place to stay for going to Big Bend.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Garden Room and it was very nice.
