I was in Houston a few weeks back for a conference and got this place recommended by the hotel staff looking for good ribs. At first we where a bit taken back because of the decor, but the friendly people and excellent meat made more then up for that.

We were there with 4 people and each tried one of the different meats they had. All of them were excellent, but the ribs are one of the best i've ever had. It's really a 'local' place, with mostly people from the neighbourhood coming in, but if you want to try some of the best ribs ever, it's definetly worth a try.

We ate some great bbq on our recent Texas trip, and City Market wins the top prize in our book, hands down. The ribs are fall-off-the-bone; the brisket is tender and juicy; the sausage is delicious. Buy and pay for your meat in the "pit" area, then buy your sides/drinks separately in the dining room. My hubby is from the Southeast and swears the pork ribs beat anything he's ever tasted. As a native Texan, I can vouch that the brisket is some of the best I've ever had...and Texans know brisket!

Extremely popular for Texas BarBQ. I really enjoyed the link sausage. The brisket was very flavorful and tender with smoke taste. The ribs are very tender and mouth watering. The only negative is the sweet tea which is made from artificial flavoring and sweetener.

May be the best bbq in Texas. Bring cash, work your way to the back room on the right and get a big pile of links, brisket and ribs. Pick up some orange sauce, some cheese and a drink on your way up front. Sit down, try a bit of everything and enjoy. You will be thinking of this place for a long time, and wondering how you can make your way back for another taste!

Was in the area and stumbled across this place and decided to give it a try....best BBQ I've had in a very long time! A+ all the way. A must if you are near!
