I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Lufkin (Texas) Courtyard by Marriott. I am a very frequent traveler and visit this area at least two times a month. There are several accomodation choices in Lufkinand I have stayed at most. The Lufkin Courtyard is by far the best in the area and, quite frankly, one of the best of it's types I have stayed at in the past year. This hotel is not your typical Courtyard and has all of the comforts (and many of the amenities) of a 'full service' hotel. Clean, modern, spacious rooms, an upscale lobby and very friendly staff.
My future hotel preference for this area is clear, The Lufkin Courtyard. And, if Marriott opens additional Courtyard's similar to this one in other cities I frequent, they too will be my first choice.

A great new 'Hyatt Place' concept for the Courtyard workhorse...I stay at Courtyards across the country every week and this was a welcome change

This is a new Courtyard that opened this month. Attractive funky/modern/zen decor with a very functional cafe and lobby area. The cafe/snack area has three semi-circle shaped booths that the kids could sit at and watch a flat panel TV. The lobby also included a large touch screen display that made it easy to look up local restaurants and print out directions. Another area of the lobby had a lounge/TV room with several computers available. The rooms are standard size but are also nicely decorated and have a +40" LCD TV.
