Went to eat here for my boyfriend's birthday. We were both really looking forward to coming since we love wine bars and couldn't wait until this one had opened. Upon arriving the atmosphere was great! There wasn't really anywhere to sit because it was slightly busy, but we found a table at the very back and sat down. We were soon politely informed that the table was reserved for the band although there was no sign informing anyone of that. We then decided that we would just sit at the bar, no big deal. Upon sitting at the bar it became like we did not exist. We had our drink order taken and informed our waiter/bartender that we would be eating. The drinks came and we were not approached again for a good 15-20 minutes. At this point we had been ready to order the whole time. I would have completely understood had our waiter/bartender been busy, but he was not, he was polishing glasses with a cloth! At this point we decided that we would just go somewhere else. I retrieved money from my purse in hopes of soon getting the check. Eventually he approached us asking if we wanted another drink and we told him we'd be leaving and for the check. We finally paid and left hungry. Food looked and smelled amazing. We were very let down by our first experience here, especially for his birthday of all times. It also doesn't help how another customer went on about how lovely their birthday experience was the same night and Restoration replying with glad we made your birthday experience great, or something along those lines. However not responding with even an apology for our experience with the same occasion. (Via Facebook) The saying, "Pouring salt in the wound" does apply here. From other's reviews it seems that it is probably a great place, just a very bad lapse in customer service. We will come back to give it one last chance, hopefully things will go much smoother.
