What a great place. Would rather have sat there all day drinking beer and people watching versus strolling overrated Fredericksburg.

“Magical evening in Luckenbach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

We went for "picking corner" on a Tuesday evening. Planned on staying for a hour or two to enjoy a little music and spake up the history of Luckenbach. Ended up staying till 11!! Actually the music was to end at 9 but it was such a great evening of music they kept everything open and kept going. I guess Tuesday night is local night.

It was an evening that we will never forget. Full of soulful music and great conversation.

“Dusty treasures and one of a kind memories”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 27, 2013

March, 2013 we were in Luckenbach for a concert to benefit ALS which included a Chili Cook off. So didn't mind the entrance fee. What a great time! The Texans are a friendly bunch and if you don't talk to anyone it is your own fault because all you need to do is smile and you'll be one of the gang in no time. The general store supports this venue, so if you're going to buy tourist stuff this is the place to drop a few dollars. Lots of fun for all ages!

“Where everybody's somebody!”

I trip to Fredericksbug must be completed with a visit to Luckenbach, TX. Take a picture in front of the general store. Steno through, grab a cold beer and meander out the back where there is always music. Sometimes it's a band, but, at anytime, there are musicians strumming, pickin, and singing. Roosters are strutting around. Customers come in all sizes, shapes, and styles. Bike riders, cowboys, hippies, yuppies, grandparents, small children all mesh together in this little "step back in time". One of my favorite places to hangout! Sign up online for their newsletter to keep up with activities and performers! You just might run into Willie, Waylon, and the boys!

“Quaint”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013

We probably would have enjoyed it more if it wouldn't have been the 'off' season (January), however, it was cute and if in the area definitely worth a stop. Looks like they must attract large crowds as a large parking area. Tiny post office is also a 'general store' of sorts with a lot of eclectic items. In the back is a bar. Another building had a walk-up window snack bar. Nothing much going on there in January.
