It was really fun to walk around the outside of the Center and look at a great variety of Texas dwellings. And it's free! A great place for kids.

The outside self guided tour of buildings and facilities is outstanding. It is very well done, comfortably laid out and educational.

“Look back”
Reviewed September 27, 2012

We visite this center while in Lubbock, and found it very interesting. The indoor museum was good, with all the old weaponry, and other exhibits. We particularly liked the outdoor part of the museum, with all the buildings like they were many years ago. Everywhere was very clean and tidy.

“Great view of Texas history”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

Carve out some time to visit this great museum. It's a walk through Texas history. The docents are great and quick to answer questions. Loved it.
