The Silent Wings Museum in Lubbock, TX is a must see for all WWII history buffs, like myself.
The museum is dedicated to the contributions of the glider pilots (hence, Silent Wings) that served during WWII. Lubbock was a main training base for these pilots during the war. There are serval mock-ups that get the visitor up close and personal with both the equipment and history. The displays certainly make you appreciate the contribution made by these individuals.
My hat is off (literally) to those involved with this museum - you have done an outstanding job in paying tribute to these great men and women.
