“A tribute to a little-known chapter in military history”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

This is an impressive little museum dedicated to the glider pilots of WWII. It includes some extraordinarily interesting photographes of early U.S. and British glider prototypes, full-size and partial examples of glider craft, and an informative video of the short history of glider-bourne troop transport. Fascinating for a military history buff.

“Glider Museum”
Reviewed March 13, 2013

We enjoyed visitng the museum and learning about the role of gliders in the military. Also, our admission ticket from the Buddy Holly Museum also gave us free entrance into the Silent Wings Museum!

Cool museum which commemorates the actions of a not often mentioned group of vets. Admission included Buddy Holly Center.

This was our first visit and they treated us very well. Everyone was very nice and the museum is very clean and well kept. I was worried it was not kid friendly but for a 6 year old it was!
