You may have to wait for a table because this is a very popular restaurant. when seated, the service is great. They have a wide variety of food and drinks. The food is above average for Tex Mex!

“Lots to choose from”

This location has a great patio area where local bands come and play during the warmer months. Parking lot seems to fill up quickly so parking tends to be a problem.

“Not the best”
Reviewed September 1, 2012

We stopped here for dinner on a busy Friday evening (we were traveling and looked for a Mexican Restaurant). Not the best time because it was crowded and we had to wait for a table. This is clearly a popular restaurant, and I'm sure many people love their food. We won't ever go back, though.
The waiter was pleasant and attentive. No problems there.
The atmosphere was very noisy, and we were crammed in like sardines. The booth was uncomfortable, and my seat was patched with tape.
My selection - enchiladas - was awful. The pork was really tough and overall they were dry and not very tasty. Of my two side dish selections, the spinach was good, but the mixed vegetables were quite undercooked. My husband said his Chili Rellenos were tasty - I should have ordered those too!
Overall I was disappointed with Abuelo's.
