Atmosphere isn't much and its crowded at lunch. However, when looking for good Mex-Tex I usually don't look to the fanciest place in town. Sauce and chips were good and fresh. Chili relleno was a little fluffy for my taste but I will return for those wondrful enchildas!

This off the beaten path Mexican resturant is well worth knowing about especially the breakfast burrito. They start with home made flour tortillas then you load it up with your choice of meat, eggs, cheese, potato or anything else you prefer. God comes out fast & fresh. They are open every day except Wednesday. When in lubbock if you crave good Mexican good you must stop in.

The chile rellenos were light and fluffy, yet stuffed with gooey cheese. The tomato sauce was fresh and delicious. We almost didn't have room for the entree, since we filled ourselves up with the chips and hot sauce, the mild which is cooked and the hotter, freshly blended green sauce. The queso dip and the perfect guacamole (just the basic avocado, garlic, lime juice and cilantro) helped the chips disappear before we got our hot plates loaded with nachos, enchiladas, tacos and even bowls of menudo(tripe soup). The rice and beans on each plate was devoured along with the flour or corn tortillas which are made in house. Not much was left on any of the plates!! Great mexican food!

Best carne guisada in town. They are a little stingy with their salsa but it's tasty.
