Staff was attentive to our large group. Food was out quick and great! Sweet tea! We drank gallons! Lubbock has more than one.

Great tea is what they hang their hat on. Very wide variety of sandwiches and salads or combinations. Consistencies is what they do best.

I had lunch at the McCalister's at 2415 19th St., near Texas Tech University. I have always been a great fan of this establishment as well as the one in Midland, TX. When I had lunch at the McCalisters by Texas Tech, I ordered a soup bowl and sandwich with special instructions. The young cashier seemed to be confused as to how to key in the order, so in order to save people time I change my sandwich to a regular club on white bread, since I do not like wheat.
The order came out sandwich in a hoagie bun. I explained that was not what I ordered and was told that's the only white bread they had. I was not happy with the food, or the attitude from the server, and approached the manager who also told me that was the only white bread they had, with no kind of remedy to the situation. It wasn't until I asked another manager for the franchise number that the first manager came to my table with 20.00 and the option of using sourdough as the bread. I accepted the remedy, advised him I didn't want the money, just my food. This was a continuous issue, embarrassing in front of other customers. He then told me he didn't want the money either and gave it to another guest I was sitting with at the restaurant. Instead of getting my meal I left......PO'd

good sandwiches, soup ok (canned), salads fresh, service efficient, its a chain type place so you know what it will be like whether you are in Dallas or Lubbock. Prices are the same everywhere. the reuben was really good and the cranberry chicken sammie was a little dry. The BLT - yum
