Good food, sometimes live music, great for kids, great for large families, two movies for the price of one, awesome service, on site police. Fun way to watch a movie!

Our family loves movies and hates that it costs us nearly $40, plus the cost of drinks and snacks, to go to the theater in Clovis. But we can make a run over to Lubbock, making a day of it, and finish our day sitting under the stars, enjoying not one, but TWO movies for less than $30 spent on admission. Plus, there's a playground for the kids.

My husband and I went to the drive in in the middle of August. We had so much fun here! Get there early to get a good parking spot and be ready to stay up late. We got to the drive in about 30 minutes before the first movie started. Since we got there so early we went into the 50s diner. The food was great and priced very well. After that we went and watched the first movie, then went to get snacks during the intermission and then watched the second movie. You will be up late, but this is way worth it! It is a great price and much more comfortable than going to a movie theatre. Make sure you go on a cool night though, it gets a bit uncomfortable when it is hot out.

What is it about a movie under the stars? These facilities are nice and clean, you can bring your own food, but if you don't, the concession stand offers some surprisingly yummy options. (try the Chihuahua sandwich, don't worry it doesn't involve a dog)

How awesome of a theatre!! Cheap and you get to see 2 movies!! Just make sure to go when it is not too hot or you may be sweating.
