Our family reunion group occupied over a dozen rooms for a weekend, and for the most part we had an excellent experience at the Hampton with good in-house service and excellent food. Subsequently however, I have had extreme trouble getting reimbursed for an additional room for which I was charged a week later, and mid and upper level management were far less than helpful in several respects: 1) phone calls not returned 5 days later, and 2) failure to reverse charges that they concede should not have been charged over a week later. This problem has been escalated to corporate, so hopefully something will get done.

We chose this Hampton Inn (always our first choice) en route to Houston mainly because the price was terrific: $39.55 plus 4000 HH points for a room with 2 queen beds. I noticed a little chip of something on the bathroom floor. On closer inspection it was paper, but nearby was hair and nearby to that was another little chip of something. Obviously the floor had not been cleaned well. When one small detail catches a person's eye, others become evident. The doorways in the hall has small, but evident, debris around them. The guest laundry floor was not clean. The room, at first glance, didn't seem as put together as HI rooms usually are. It seems they've put on new bedskirts on the bed, but not well. They had neither been ironed or steamed and still bore the wrinkles from their packaging. And they were put on lopsided. Some of the pillow cases had terrible wrinkles and didn't fit the pillows well and part of the pillows stuck out. Certainly not cardinal sins, but suggestions of sloppy attention to detail. They are doing some renovation, although none seemed to be going on where we were.
Breakfast was typical good HI fare, although the room seemed pretty crowded with tables and chairs. The desk person seemed to also be the breakfast person. The location is hard to find. It's across from the Holiday Inn Express, which can be seen from 59B. The room rate we got for a room with two queen beds was $39.55 plus 4000 HH points, a terrific deal. The beds were comfortable, the TV and wifi worked fine, the AC was great, and coffee was always available. I gave it a Very Good rating because I think if they kick the housekeeping up a notch they'll have a winner.
Note to management: put a chair in the guest laundry. There's plenty of room for it.

We greatly enjoyed our recent stay at the hotel for a couple's getaway and birthday trip. It is tucked away so a little difficult to locate using GPS and the lighting at night could be brighter. Other than those minor nits, we absolutely loved this amazing hotel, the phenomenal night manager, and awesome breakfast. Complimentary breakfast was by the far the most lavish free breakfast we'd ever tasted - including hot food items, pastries, cereal, and other items that were actually very tasty. Many thanks for making our stay great!

The staff is always wonderful, the rooms are always spotless, the breakfast is always great and the hotel is pet friendly. It is our home away from home! Our daughter and three grandson's live nearby and the whole family enjoys the pool. We also stay at other Hampton Hotels when we travel and due to the pet policy this is by far our favorite.

This hotel has installed sensor devices that shut the cooling system down when movement in the room is not detected for a certain amount of time. This is extremely irritating in the middle of the night and the air shuts off!

very clean hotel with friendly staff...pool was in excellent shape too. One issue was a bad phone in my room but hotel staff came and knocked on my room door to make sure i was up when wake up call didn't work.

The Hampton Livingston, Texas is very modern and clean with a friendly staff. Best hotel for Livingston, Texas! We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Hampton if you are in Livingston. The lobby is great, breakfast good, and rooms modern and clean . Make sure to stay there is you need a place in Livingston.
