I arrived at the property, got my room key..got into my room. it looked empty. No lamps on the desk, no phone even to call the front desk. Wires hanging down from the ceiling from power cables and cable tv. Bathroom has no towel racks, just a pile of towels on the sink. No soaps or other amenities. No power outlets in the bathroom or wallmount dryer. The bed, is a rock. Cheaper than a super 8 motel bed, towels are stained and just as cheap. The rate for this room per night is $50.82 With all taxes applied. This is too much. The room is a king suite. It has a small electric stove and a small refrigerator. Not a consolation for not being able to see at the desk, prepare in the bathroom or call the front desk to complain about either.

This property is just open as of July/August 2009 and somewhat still under construction. This is a motel style, one-story property. The management lives on site above the office. This property was still pretty rough keeping in mind that is not quite finished.

The door to the room was dented. There was still some of the big sticker left on the window. The "couch" in the room is a cheap metal futon with some cardboard still taped around the legs. The bed is large but very hard with a very thin comforter and plastic still around the box springs. I was surprised to see the older style tube (CRT) TV's in a brand new building. No phone was present in the room. They do provide free wireless internet, but only if you are within range of the residential grade wireless router in the office (which I was not unless I opened the door and leaned out). No wired access is offered. There are no decorations in the room which allows noise to echo like a storage warehouse. The bathroom is pretty standard. The shower curtain was not quite long enough so they used two additional sets of curtain rings to lengthen it. There was some paint still on the floor. The hot water was adequate. The room does come with a medium size fridge/freezer combo. There is also a microwave that teeters on top of it. An electric 2 burner sealed top range is built into the counter that also includes a small bar sink. There were no pots/pans/cups/silverware, etc however. A laundry facility is on site but I was too busy checking out to check it out. The AC was impressive and was able to keep the room very cold on a very hot day. The worst part has to be the train across the street (about 200-300 feet) that goes through at all hours of the night, blasting its horn.

In short, if you have business in Liberty and need very basic, cheap (around $49 at this time), no frills accommodations for a night or two (and you have earplugs) this may be the place. If not, go seven minutes east to Dayton Best Western for about $89 per night.
