In the wilderness I expect to come across a snake or two. After all we are in their habitat. However they have a snake infestation here. On our drive towards this park we saw two pretty good sized snakes crawling across the road. This gave us the insight to keep on the lookout once we got inside. They have a gorgeous fishing spot that we went to. We almost stepped on a snake as we were walking on the man made path to the lake area. This made the count to three in a matter of 15 minutes or so. The water moccasin counts are crazy. (The first three snakes were NOT water moccasins by the way). You honestly can't enjoy yourself because you have to make sure you're not stepping on a snake or it's not about to bite you. It's a shame because its such a gorgeous property. We had to leave because in a span of 30 minutes we saw SEVEN snakes. But I can't stress enough how nice it is there besides that minor setback.
