This restaurant was recommended by the resort we were staying at.
They warned us it was in a strip mall and not to let that prevent us from going. The decor inside was tropical/Cuban style.

The food also at least on the menu had a Cuban flavor. We had been traveling all day so were in a good mood to have some great food.

We had crab cakes and they were nothing worth writing home about. While in Texas our plan was to try crab cakes at every meal. Hope they are better next time.

I ordered a Prime Salad dinner- it was supposed to be topped with warm prime rib and hot vegetables. It had tiny pieces of overdone prime rib and not at all hot. There were no hot vegetables on the salad. It was not served with any type of bread.

My partner had Gourmet Pizza that was suppose to be topped with Prime rib, bacon etc. Instead it was topped with bacon bits which have a stronger taste then bacon and ruined the pizza completely.

We thought we would try a dessert to cheer us up and get the bacon bit taste out of our mouths so, we had a piece of Key Lime Pie. It was great! It was really big so perfect to split for two people and finished off what was a poor meal but helped us walk out somewhat happy. A good dessert can always help a poor meal and the dessert is all I would order at this place if I ever go there again but doubt that I ever will.

I was staying at the nearby South Shore Resort and the front desk staff recommended this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice which is a dark wood and seashore feel. They have a small bar and entertainment which was a plus.

The food though was lack luster. I ordered the Prime Rib pizza which had minimal prime rib, but had bacon bits on it? Bacon Bits, who puts Bacon bits on pizza? My business partners salad was also editable. The waitress noticed we both did not finish our meal but did not say anything.

We decided to share the key lime pie since we where both still hungry. I am glad we tried the pie since the crust was excellent and was very tasty.

I would skip this place for something else along main street. Drive down to Seabrook or Kemah for better options which is only 5 minutes away.
