A lovely hotel in a not-so-lovely area. La Posada really tries to be a four-star property but their location works against them. The hotel overlooks the Rio Grande and Laredo's primary border crossing. When there used to be water in the river, it was probably a lovely view. The interior of the hotel is very nice, service is excellent and the rooms are very well-appointed and comfortable.

This hotel offers peace and quiet in a luxury environment, every thing was just first class with great rooms, polite and accommodating staff along with making our small dog very welcome.
We highly recommend this hotel and most certainly will be staying here again.

Room Tip: We had a second floor room with balcony overlooking the swimming pool and found it very quiet and co...

Inside the compound is a very nice clean hotel. The rooms are nice and the restaurant is outstanding. They keep everything spotless and the staff is very friendly. I also enjoyed the pool area, very scenic. The only negatives are the wireless internet is awful, and the location is scarey, plan accordingly.

The security around the hotel reminds me of India. Basically, you stay in your hotel and go out of the compound at your own risk. Fortunately, the hotel is nice enough to be marooned in, I always look forward to the meals when I have to go there.

My fiance and I stayed at La Posada last week (4/15-4/17) on business and thoroughly enjoyed it. The suites are beautiful, fairly priced and large (having two bathrooms was very nice). The pool area was nicely appointed, not crowded and had ample tables & chairs

The staff is A+ and the food was excellent. The Steak nachos at the Zaragosa Grill were excellent for a late supper, and the steaks at the Tack Room were cooked perfectly.

The room service breakfast was also very good (Mexican eggs with dried beef), and the prices for every were reasonable, for the quality. We enjoyed a bottle of champagne as we looked at the river and the Mexican border. Bottom line: it's not as romantic as a Mexican Beach--but for work it was a wonderful experience!

Room Tip: Downtown Laredo at night has no night life--but we enjoyed listening to our own music and drinking c...

This hotel is a beauty right on the border. The staff was great from start to finish. The room, a suite, was very nice. The grounds and park out front are gorgeous and the steak house next door was very good as well. I can't imagine coming to Laredo and not staying here.

Nice, clean and convenient to the border crossing. stayed there in December 2012 just before Christmas. Handy to get to the bridge at the border crossing. Make certain that you follow the directions exactly to get to this hotel as it is a bit tricky.
Great onsite restaurant with very good fajitas. Staying again in about a week

This hotel is all about retreat from the heat of the city. It's beautiful, historic, welcoming and a lovely place to settle in for a visit to Laredo. The grounds are lovely. There are two pools - one that is heated in case you're there in the winter time. The service is outstnading. I've stayed here on a few occasions, and this is my favorite place to stay when visiting Laredo.
