I've eaten here twice, one carry out and one dine in. Not the greatest BBQ, but very reasonable prices. Restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated in Texas style, staff is very friendly. service is a bit slow, but not bad. Lunch buffet is a great value. Food is not horrible, just kind of bland. The brisket, pork and ribs have smoky flavor, but besides that there are no spices or rubs, just smoked meat and the sauces aren't that great either. Pulled pork was chewy and I didn't care for the sausage. Sides are good. I'd go back for the lunch buffet, simply because all you can eat BBQ with drink for $9 is a bargain. No ribs on lunch buffet except maybe once a week. Ribs were the best of the meats and only $23 a rack which is very reasonable.
If this place added a bit more flavor to their meat or even got some better sauce options, and I'm not quite sure what else, but it's missing that special something. Maybe it's because it was quiet with only a few patrons both times I was there, but it needs a niche or signature dish or maybe some better marketing and it could easily be the best spot in town.
