“OH MY GOODNESS!!!!”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

After driving from Alaska we were totally exhausted and needed a place to stay...we checked in and found out how disgusting the room was but we were so tired after driving 10 days we just went to sleep. We woke up and just to realize how dirty everything was. I mean EVERYTHING in the room was NASTY! They still charged me 80 bucks! WOW! Maybe the health department should be called!!!

Room Tip: Drive to the next town or sleep in the car!

This low end hotel is representing itself as a decent hotel on it's website. There is no breakfast (unless you consider a loaf of stale bread, a toaster, burnt pot of coffee and cornflakes set up on a table the size of a nightstand breakfast). There was no internet as advertised, I asked at check-in and was assured there was WiFi, but as soon as I found out there was none, they stated they had been having trouble with it for weeks, no refunds, sorry! The rooms have NOT been remodeled (I lived in Lampasas years ago and have stayed here before, nothing has changed except my room had shower panels screwed into the ceiling, yes, shower panels! The TV was a small (19"?) old box style and the room was filthy. Overall, this is a $39 a night hotel if you can stand the dirt, too bad they charged me $79 a night. Never again! Those that have written a positive review are either ringers or have the lowest expectations in the world. There is a much nicer (although more expensive hotel) less than a mile away.

Room Tip: Go to the Inn at Lampasas and spend a few more bucks, you will be MUCH happier!

This was by far, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The bathroom was totally disgusting, I was afraid to sit on the toilet or even shower. The bathtub looked like it had something growing in it, there was a used bar of soap on the side of the tub and many black hairs all over the tub. The room smelled like someone had urinated in it. The floor and walls had stains all over them. There was so much dust and grime caked on the vents and furniture, I was afraid to breathe or touch anything. The towel smelled like an old wet towel that someone had used to dry their dog with. The sheets, pillows, and bedspread had the same nasty, moldy smell. The curtains did not even close and the door was no better. Felt very unsafe and disgusted. The website advertised continental breakfast, yet at check in, there was no mention of such and there was definitely no facility for such, after seeing the room, if there was a breakfast, I wouldn't have dared try anyway. The pictures on the website compared to what the rooms looked like were a joke! I am just glad I did not have family with me this trip, it was bad enough I had to stay there! The TV had exactly 12 channels, none of which were actually TV programs. The TV was a small old TV back from the 70's yet they advertised newly remodeled? The walls had missing paint, the chairs were stained, the carpet was stained, there was one single picture on all of the walls, the bedspreads and sheets were old and stained, like the towels and tub. Totally misleading advertisement!!! Never again!!!!

Room Tip: Don't even try! Over $70 and totally disgusting!

The check in clerk was friendly enough. When we got to our room. It was very dirty. Looked like the bathroom had been used and not cleaned. Only had a single towel and wash cloth that looked like it had been used. Went to the front office to ask for more towels and clean towels and we were told that we would have to use an old pool towel. The floors were very dirty. We were afraid to touch anything and hoped that we did not pick up anything. The room smelled like it had not been aired out for months. Very dissatisfied!!

A shabby roadside motel. Room very dirty and unkempt. We only ended up staying here as we were tired from driving and didn't want to travel any further. It might have been "acceptable" in some sense had it been cheap, but it was actually relatively expensive. We would never stay here again.

This was the filthiest room. Cannot believe they rent rooms for that price and so filthy. Carpet was so stained.....curtain was held together by a curtain hook....have of the curtain was hanging......spiders, dust everywhere......Towels felt like sandpaper, which is good if you have a lot of dry skin.....works like lofta sponge.... As to Sjoe1's review, I am not sure where he stayed but it wasn't this motel.......it hasn't been remodeled ever! There was no place for breakfast here. If Sjoe stayed here for four days, he needs to go to Dr. and have a complete checkup.......you would have caught something......

Room Tip: Run from this place.....there is a better hotel about a mile away on the crossstreet from this motel...
