My husband and I have stayed at the Lakeway Resort and Spa twice and on both trips were impressed by the incredible customer service and guest attention that the staff provides. All staff from the valet service to the housekeepers to the food service staff are eager to assist guests. They really make you feel special. The pool is beautiful. We especially liked it that there was a pool designated for "adults only" and it was separated from the family pools by the bar building. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The views of Lake Travis are impressive and the Backporch lounge is a great place to enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks. We will definately stay again.

The Lakeway Resort is a large hotel with standard rooms. It is next to the lake with great views, but there is no lake access from the hotel. The pool is fabulous for kids. It has a large slide and a big shallow area as well as a deep pool. There is a separate pool area for adults with hot tubs. The kids cannot go into the hot tubs.

The gym is very nice with new equipment and no extra service charge.

The hotel is isolated so we ate two meals there. Although the service in the hotel was fine, the service at the restaurant was horrible. We waited over an hour (with hungry kids –painful) to finally receive the worst pizza that I have ever eaten. The breakfast buffet had great food, but I had to clean off a table myself so that we could sit and eat.

Lakeway Resort and Spa sits along the shores of Lake Travis and we are fortunate to have such wonderful views from all areas of the resort. While guests cannot access the lake directly from the resort the Lakeway Marina is steps away from the resort’s main entrance and we do offer complimentary transportation to and from the marina for all guests.

We appreciate your kind words regarding our pool complex and fitness center. With three separate pools catering to adults and families, the pool area is very popular for our guests.

I appreciate your honest feedback regarding your meal and service. We continue to improve upon the dining experience and we hope you’ll return with your family very soon.

Sincerely,

Troy Mathews

My husband and I recently stayed at the Lakeway Resort and Spa for a friend's wedding weekend on the Lake. The common areas, lobby, pool, etc. are very nice and have an upscale feel about them. The rooms are not up to par with the price per night. For almost $200 per night (that was the group rate) the bathrooms should be updated, the bedding should be nicer, and the service should be better. We had an usual experience as someone had thrown up in our room the night before. The smell of vomit was so strong that it made us sick to be in there. Upon informing the resort professionals we were told that they could clean our carpets but could not move us due to the hotel being 100% capacity. They did half our bill with us upon checkout which we appreciated but the entire experience left a bad taste in our mouths. I would not have wanted to stay more than one night there....it was just overpriced for the value of the room and the amenities do not balance it out.

I am concerned to learn of your disappointing experience at Lakeway Resort and Spa. It was a very unfortunate situation that occurred during your stay and my sincere apologies we were unable to move you due to the resort being fully committed for the evening. We pride ourselves on our guest experience and will review the situation with our housekeeping team. I am pleased to learn our guest services recognized the situation and assisted with the bill due to the inconvenience. We continue to make improvements to the resort and I hope you will return in the near future.

This is a beautiful hotel on Lake Travis. The breakfasts and cocktail hours are phenomenal. We loved the place even though it was winter and off season.

Very quiet and restful. The rooms are large and have high ceilings making the room feel even larger. Nice decor; comfortable beds. Slde the floor to ceiling window and you have a beautiful panaroma out to the lake..

The staff is always ready and alert, young and energetic.

We loved it and we want to go back in the summer when we can use the outdoor pool and jacuzzi.

Room Tip: All rooms face the lake. The lobby floor (actually located above) has the high ceilings making the room looke even bigger.
