Description: For over 25 years, Monument Inn has been your destination to share family traditions and special occasions with great food and a great atmosphere! Specializing in fresh Gulf Coast seafood, we've become one of Houston's most popular restaurants. In fact, we serve about 80,000 pounds of shrimp and almost 25,000 pounds of catfish, crawfish, and fresh fish every year! If you're in the mood for something fresh from the water, check out our popular Fisherman's Platter with its shrimp, oysters, catfish, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. But guests also love our wide array of pastas, beef, and chicken dishes. And be sure to top it all off with a drink from our full bar! Whether it's business luncheons, meeting with friends, or special occasions, thank you for making Monument Inn your place to make memories!

“Excellent Seafood Restuarant”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

There are so many seafood restaurants in the surrounding Houston, Texas area and so many are just so-so with both their food and service. However, this one (Monument Inn) is just a joy to go to even if you do have to wait in line due to the crowds after 05:00 P.M. on the week-end. The food is very good and the pricing(better than others in the area) is fair for the quality of food that you recieve. Yes, it is a little off the "beaten path", but you can either take the enjoyable ferry ride(coming from I-10) or the roadway from Hwy 225, but it;s worth it. I highly recommend this place and now have it on my "go-to" dining places in the area.

“Cruise prep”
Reviewed November 20, 2013 credit card Amex Card Member Review

When ever we are getting ready to go on a cruise, my bride and I like to go to the Monument Inn to get us in the mood for the water. Setting on the ship channel at Lynchburg it gives us a faux feeling of being in a port in the Carribbean. The fish menu according to my bride is excellant and she raves about the gumbo. I usually have chicken strps or fish and chips both of which have a nice crusty breading and The fries are good. A big draw for this eatery are the cinnamonrolls that come with thw meal. They are so delicous! One of our all time favotite places to relax and enjoy good food and a different view from other restaurants.

Visited this restaurant with another couple arriving from the north via the ferry across the ship channel. Had great food while watching the ships go by. Nice place with a family atmosphere and friendly staff.

The meal and service was exceptional! The shrimp was superb, we enjoyed the view from our table, also the cinnamon rolls were outstanding and the onion rings were the best we have ever eaten. Don't forget to look out for the cute hostess!
