Description: For over 25 years, Monument Inn has been your destination to share family traditions and special occasions with great food and a great atmosphere! Specializing in fresh Gulf Coast seafood, we've become one of Houston's most popular restaurants. In fact, we serve about 80,000 pounds of shrimp and almost 25,000 pounds of catfish, crawfish, and fresh fish every year! If you're in the mood for something fresh from the water, check out our popular Fisherman's Platter with its shrimp, oysters, catfish, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. But guests also love our wide array of pastas, beef, and chicken dishes. And be sure to top it all off with a drink from our full bar! Whether it's business luncheons, meeting with friends, or special occasions, thank you for making Monument Inn your place to make memories!

We had a company luncheon for a co-worker leaving the company. The restraurant is always clean and busy and the food is always fresh and served in monumental portions. We order appetizers such as stuffed jalepenos, fried green tomotoes and cajun popcorn (fried alligators tails). No one in our group could eat the main course and dessert forget about it.

I took my son to eat at the Monument Inn on our spring break vacation. He had the étouffée and I can safely say that as far as my son is concerned (who is a huge fan of any Cajun food), the Monument Inn étouffée is the étouffée by which all others will be judged. He thought it was excellent! I had a seafood platter which was quite good. The stuffed crab really stands out as the shells were large and the crab stuffing was freshly made. The high point of the trip were the cinnamon roles that are served with each meal. The pastry is very light, made with raisins and not overly sweet. One piece of advice for visitors to the area, is that the Monument Inn is on the San Jacinto/battleship Texas side of the channel. If there is a line for the ferry you can pass the waiting cars to the left and enter into the parking lot. It's well worth the trip if you're in the Houston area.

Had lunch with family and enjoyed it very much. Enjoyed watching the boats on the ship channel. The food was good and fresh, the potions were generous. A very good place for casual dining.

Went with a few colleagues for lunch on a Sunday. Tried the chicken fried chicken, was OK. The best part was watching the large ships passing by in the channel and paying a quick visit to the the battleship nearby after.

This is one of our favorite 'special' places to go. Tonight we shared a combination platter and still brought home 5 shrimp and half of the catfish! And we thoroughly enjoyed the rolls and cinnamon rolls! It was a great date tonight!
