Description: For over 25 years, Monument Inn has been your destination to share family traditions and special occasions with great food and a great atmosphere! Specializing in fresh Gulf Coast seafood, we've become one of Houston's most popular restaurants. In fact, we serve about 80,000 pounds of shrimp and almost 25,000 pounds of catfish, crawfish, and fresh fish every year! If you're in the mood for something fresh from the water, check out our popular Fisherman's Platter with its shrimp, oysters, catfish, stuffed shrimp, and stuffed crab. But guests also love our wide array of pastas, beef, and chicken dishes. And be sure to top it all off with a drink from our full bar! Whether it's business luncheons, meeting with friends, or special occasions, thank you for making Monument Inn your place to make memories!

The service was very good and there is a great selection of seafood on the menu. The prices are very reasonable. The food is very basic grilled and fried seafood but fresh and inexpensive.

“Great Food, Good View, Good Service”
Reviewed February 27, 2012

Took another Co-worker and a customer there on 02/20/2012 for Lunch. It was an odd Location for an Okie, down a dead end road, but I soon realized it was a ferry entrance. We watched several large tankers being towed to dock by tugs while we were eating. That in itself was entertaining.

The food was very good. I had the grilled shrimp and it didn’t disappoint. We also ordered the stuffed Jalapeno. They too were delicious. Food overall was pricy for lunch. It ran $77 for 3 of us (far more than I personally spend on lunch). However, if I lived in the area I would happily eat there on occasion. I return to the area quite often and will without doubt visit again.

Very good food, great service.... Nice place. May be a challenge if you have a wheel chair or problems walking as it is up stairs. They do have a stair lift but still not the easiest access.

“Excellent Food- what a great place!”
Reviewed February 26, 2012

A business partner and I were visiting a customer in the area and they brought us here for dinner. What a great place! It had a fun atmosphere- perhaps simply because people were enjoying themselves so much. Our waiter was very relaxed and quite funny while still providing very good service. I had a blackened redfish and it was excellent! We also had alligator as an appetizer! Everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees. I'm very pleased we had the opportunity to have dinner here and hope to come again- during the day to better see and enjoy the ship traffic. I recommend this restaurant and hope this review has been helpful.

“Best Seafood on the ship channel.”

Close to the Battleship and the Monument (hence, Monument Inn). The food is great and so is the service. The cinnamon raisin rolls are out of this world.
