Best BBQ I ever had... even my wife stated the same, and hers truly is fantastic!
Only thing I had that could be improved upon, is adding a little more flavor to the coleslaw! - Ribs, just incredible! For motorcycles, the upholstery shop next door will even let you park on their cement slab...

This is by far the best place to eat bar-b-que in the area. The ribs are consistently tender and flavorful. The brisket and sausage is delicious and the sides are fresh and tasty. The owners and employees are always friendly and make you feel like you are "special". I highly recommend this as a casual but great place to eat.

Spykes is one of those "hole in the wall" barbeque places it's pleasant to run across. Nothing fancy, no big pit at the entrance and limited parking, but inside Spyke serves up some very tasty 'que. The brisket was very moist and tender as were the pork ribs. The sausage however left a greasy after taste. The chicken was also very moist and tender, but not much smoke. Sides are serve yourself, I only tried the slaw and it was ok. I liked the sauce, sweet yet tangy. Prices are very fair.

So many Texas towns have their favorite BBQ places. Kingsland didn't for a long time, but Spyke's filled that niche. Their food is delicious, reasonably priced. I just hate that the county is putting up a traffic light that makes maneuvering into the small parking lot more difficult. Spyke's is yummy!

Stopped in for a late lunch at the recommendation of the folks at Perissosa Winery and Vineyard. My wife had the chopped brisket and I had the sliced brisket and sausage. The staff was friendly, the prices were good, and the food was great!
