“Great steak”

Great tasting food and has a great location in Killeen. Service was great and the waitress checked back often to ensure we didnt need anything. Always a nice place to take the wife for a romantic dinner.

“Poor Service, Poorly Trained Employees & Environment was unpleasant”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2012

The place was very busy and we had a group of 10 so we expected to wait but as we sat outside it became clear the staff was over their head and not sure on how to accomodate any group more than 6. We were told it would be about 30 minutes and it ended up being over an hour. The atmosphere and environment are very cramped and for a military town you would expect the restaurant to be designed to handle a large group but there was no tables for more than a six set. We ended up with two round tables put together which wasn't that great. We watched groups of 6-8 get seated ahead of us as the hostess's didn't communicate and were not sure what they were doing. A member of our group went to the bathroom and overheard the waitress complaining that she had to serve the large group and was upset when the manager (who we never saw) had to order her to be the waitress. She was friendly but didn't come around very often and gave a put-out attitude when someone asked for something like silverware since the hostess didn't provide us with any. The food was delivered in waves of 3 people at a time and we were told that the computer would not allow the input of more than five at a time. Orders were mixed up and sides were left out. Soup was never delivered and we got one loaf of bread to split among the 10 of us. For the amount we paid and tipped the service should have been better, the food should have been and the attitudes definitely need to improve. Go across the highway or down the road to experience better service and food as you wont get it at Outback in Killeen, TX.

“Service was slow, but the filet was great”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2012

For a Thursday night, it was extremely busy. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table for 5. We waited an additional 10 minutes before our server ever came to the table, but at that point, we were all ready to order, which probably would have saved another 15 minutes. The filet was absolutely wonderful! The only downside to the food was that my husband bit into a piece of broken plate when eating his salad. None of the plates on our table were broken so who knows where that piece came from. The manager on duty came and while we told him we were not looking for a free meal, only to let him know to check the salad, he comped the 2 desserts our table had, which was nice. Overall, we spent a total of $115 for 5 people including drinks, so that in my opinion is very reasonable.

“Chicken undone”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2012

Now I know why they place is so dim and dark. They served me chicken fingers that were still raw. I ate alittle piece of it before I took it up to light and it was raw! Never went back. The waiter just gave me a new portion. No apologies, food unacceptable.

Used curbside take away, steaks are 4-star quality every time. Employees are nice, friendly, and fast.
