Our corvette car club use this resort every year for our 3 day spring run. We had a total of 40 corvettes on this run. Great place. Friendly people, great food and service. Large pool area in the center of the complex with a service bar next to the pool.

Was really looking forward to my stay but...reservations were confused and web site kept going down. After 4 calls finally maybe got the room I requested.

The web site claims remodeled. Maybe in 1977. Room was dirty (toillet and duvet) and reeked of smoke. Dingy and peeling paint and beer stickers on furniture. My salad came without the avocado and beans as listed, which left me with a no protein dinner. And it had a hair in it.

The noise (loud, drub and pofane guests) went on until about midnight, and housekeeping pounded on the door at 8:30 even though I had the sign up.

A must miss. Bummer.

Thank you for corresponding to me via email. Thank you for addressing all of your concerns. We did check your room and the paint that you are referring to that appeared to be peeling and dingy, is actually a two-toned faux finish. We have addressed all of your other concerns and have rectified them. We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations and hope that you will give us the opportunity to serve you again. Please accept our sincere apology.

Sincerely,

Marian Schlunegger
General Manager

Just a short walk from the beautiful Guadalupe river, this fully-featured (conference rooms, restaurant, lounge/bar, pool, playground) lodge is a motel-like layout of rooms with resort-like grounds. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but the grounds are quite nice and the lounge/bar is not only rustic-decorative, but was hoping with karaoke the night we stayed there (a Thursday night). The restaurant was large and comfortable, although we only ate breakfast there (a decent meal at a decent price). I did have to switch out an unclean fork. The standard room we got was very basic, with a less-than-stellar view of adjacent commercial real estate.

Just a wonderful hotel with a resort style. Very comfortable bed; nice towels; Gilchrist & Soames bath and body products are provided. If available, request a room facing the pool courtyard; plus many outdoor areas to sit and relax. The breakfast buffet is generous with eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries & breakfast breads, cereals, and sliced fruit. Kind and helpful staff.

Chose here since Fredericksburg hotels were all full on our spur of the moment trip. What a great choice. Rooms were clean and seemed newly remodeled. Only thing was they packed too much into the room, desk w/chair, table w/ 2 over sized chair along with dresser. Separate sink in toilet area along with one outside of the toilet area. Place has a restaurant on site which on Saturdays has a prime rib buffet and brisket which is was great. There is a bar/lounge on premises which has live bands playing on the weekends. Attracts the local country dancers but was a good time and didn't have to worry about driving afterwards. The rooms are all entered from outside, but was surprisingly quiet. There is a pool which would be great place to for family. Kerrville is a small town and Guadalupe river is close by. Would visit here again.
