We have had breakfast and lunch here. The food is good. The service is great. The waitresses treat you as regulars, even if you've never been there before. No credit cards accepted.

a down-home cafe with great breakfasts. I love their breakfast tacos-they're huge, fresh, and made to order. And the cinnamon rolls!! Yum! Lunch plate specials are always good too.

This is in downtown Kerrville.
We stopped here on the way from Big Bend to Houston on advice of tripadvisor. It was as describe: very good food and inexpensive. It is a basic diner with some antique for decoration. The food is good, I had the daily special which was two cheese enchiladas, rice and beans. My wife had torilla soup and my friend had a sandwich. All were good. The total price was around $20. The two women there, probably the owners, are very friendly.

Much better than one of the ubiquitous chain restaurants.

The plate lunch is always good. It is such a bargain with the drink and desert included. I have not had the breakfast yet, but I plan on doing so very soon.

Second time to eat there in a week, this time trying the lunch menu. The daily special was chicken and dumplings, with corn. The entree was pretty average. It tasted fine, but the dumplings were very mushy. The canned corn was also overcooked and mushy. Disappointing, to be honest.
