Thanks to the reviewers on Trip Advisor for alerting us to this fabulous family restaurant in the restored historic district of downtown Kerrville. The restaurant is set in what was once probably a luncheonette in an office building, and opens into a lobby area. The food is the big draw here . . . We have a lot of Korean restaurants in the greater Chicago area, and Yeo-Bo's beats the socks off nearly all of them. The bulgogi is flawlessly tender and well flavored from the marinade, chap chae is similarly flawless in flavor and texture, and the hot bowl version of bibimbop is a stunner, with little crispy bits of rice that stick to the hot stone bowl and add marvelous texture to the whole dish. Specials are worthy of attention, too; in our visits we were fortunate enough to be able to try pork belly in (bao) rolls at lunch and a dinner special of baby back pork ribs, imbued with rich Korean bar-b-que flavor. The service is similarly outstanding; attentive waitresses are quick to spot and fill any need, even when things get crowded and a bit frantic. The restaurant is BYOB, too, so the price is incredibly reasonable for food and service of this quality. Because weekday lunches are busy and things slow to a crawl on the weekend, Yeo-Bo's is closed on Saturday and Sunday, but open Monday - Friday (though only lunch on Tuesday). In the 5 days we were visiting Kerrville, Yeo-Bo's was closed two of those days . . . and we ate there on each of the other three days of our visit. If you like Korean food, you will want to schedule repeat visits, too.
