We've dined at Pinnacle a number of times, enjoyed both the food and the view. This past week was a completely different experience, unfortunately had friends with who had not been there before.

The view was still spectacular. Two of the dinners were bad. One pork chop was served raw and in less than 10 minutes when on the menu is printed a pork chop dinner will take 20 minutes to be served. The beef tenderloin medallions were all red when they were ordered medium well.

The checks arrived. One had an amount in the gratuity line that no one could explain. The food and banquet manager tried to explain it as a liquor tax - both checks had liquor on them. That issue was never explained or removed.

The evening was quite a disappointment.

We took my father in law to the Pinnacle Grill for Father's Day, and this was our first time eating there. We made a reservation, but didn't really need one as it wasn't that busy. My wife was initially disappointed because nobody greeted us in the clubhouse lobby, and we weren't sure if it was even open. Eventually we walked into the dining area and were seated.

The views of Comanche Trace are awesome, and the portions were quite large. Definitely recommend the burgers! The sweet potato fries are also awesome.

There is the outdoor seating area on the deck that would be fun too, but it was too hot the day we were there to sit outside. There's also plenty of room upstairs in the banquet hall for large events and/or receptions as well.

The Pinnacle Grill is located at the clubhouse of the Comanche Trace Golf Course and subdivision. It is a very exclusive area in Kerrville. We had made a reservation for 12 and they had our table set in a beautiful room with a spectacular view. It is named the Pinnacle Grill for a reason. It is situated on a pinnacle overlooking the beautiful golf course and the surrounding Texas Hill Country. There was fresh warm sour dough bread on the table when we were seated. The waiter told us of the evenings special and left us to review the menu. There were pasta dishes, seafood, fish, steaks, chicken and some Texas favorites like Chicken Fried Steak and Catfish. Being there were 12 of us we pretty much tried everything. Everyone said their meal was very good. While Banana's Foster was on the menu we were told they did not have any that evening. My niece ordered a Caramel Crunch Cake that was good but not crunchy. That was our only disappointment of the evening. The prices were very reasonable. We will certainly be going back and not just for special occasions. I understand they have a great lunch menu as well.
