Was impressed with the additions and improvements to the Center since my last visit a few years ago. The self tour is laid out well and the plants are labeled which made it possible to identify each Hill Country native plant. The Visitor Center has a nice variety of gift items for all ages and the staff were enthusiastic and helpful. A nice place to visit before a leisurely lunch in Kerrville.

This was a nice hike, the majority was paved and easily accessible. The kids just wanted to run up and down the hills. We packed a lunch and did this in the early morning. We notice there were some classes/educational opportunities on a few weekends and would have loved to catch one so check the website. There are restrooms available that were clean and well maintained. We were excited to see a police presence as well on the hike.

We saw this at dusk and only walked down to the river. It seems to be a pretty nice place. We saw deer in the brush-up close and personal.

Stop by and see this nature center if you are interested in the
native plants of the Hill Country or just love a leisurely stroll with
beauty. The path goes right by the Guadalupe River. It is not for profit....many volunteers take care of this beautiful nature center.
