Have stopped here so many times over the years on the way to the coast that I ought to own stock in the place. It's a good ole country establishment where the waitress and cashier call you "hun" and "sweetie". The decor is country comfortable and the locals crowd the place for lunch so you know the food is good.
You can't go wrong with the buffet for the quality, quantity and diversity, or the price of the food. Do not miss their sausage if they are serving it on the day you go. It's made by a meat purveyor just down the road and is just tubular nirvana.
You can't miss the big Barth's sign as you drive between Kennedy and Karnes City.
