“Awesome!”

Love it - just hold thumbs for a great waiter (more hit than miss, usually -not loving the 21-year olds that call you honey, baby or sugar and think it's OK to make themselves at home at your table while ordering). BBQ pig sandwich is yummy and inexpensive. LOVE this place for the kids to bop to the live music and general relaxed happy atmosphere.

“A most go while in Kemah Texas”
Reviewed July 23, 2010

Seldom do you find a restraunt that has it all. T-Bone Tom's was accidentally discovered by our traveling crew, and what a find! The atmosphere demanded fun. The music played by some "old Geezers" ( the name of the band) made you WANT to move and shake , sing and laugh, The fried pickles were just the beginning, followed by tender juicy flavorful steaks and shrimp Brouchette, homade dressings. Uhmmm I am relieving it now. The full menu allowed all of us to get exactly what we wanted, But our table must have looked like a Helen Keller convention as we plucked a taste from each plate that arrived.. I would not miss an opportunity to eat here. We did not have children in our crew but there were a few dancing away on the dance floor and enjoying themselves tremendously. I am not sure what was up with the woman and the washboard instrument, but at times I too wanted to get out there and boogie with her. The combination of food and fun made T-Bone Tom's a place we will go to a second time... on this trip.

“Your Taste Buds Will Thank You”
Reviewed June 28, 2010

We stumbled across this place a few years ago, and came to find out it had been featured on the show "Dinef's, Drive-Ins, and Dives" on the Food Channel. It sits at the foot of the bridge in Kemah, Texas, a quaint little beach town about 30 minutes from Galveston, Texas. We've gone back to eat there evry trip since.

The atmosphere is great. A combination step back in time, and mom-and-pop diner, combined with a great back patio where the live entertainment takes place makes this a Kemah favorite. There's not much parking, so you may have to walk or park at one of the adjoining inns. Go early, as it tends to fill up starting at opening time!

The food is wonderful. As you pass the main dining room, cuts of beef await you to choose them. The portions are big, and cooked well. I've had the large chicken fried steak and white gravy, hamburger steak, and T-Bone, and found all to be well-cooked to my taste, and plenty of food. The sides are plentiful, including a couple of things I'd never seen before. The grilled tomatoes are spectacular, grilled over or with the meat so it has that smoky flavor. The coleslaw is also very good, as are the grilled vegetables. The deserts are not many, but the peach cobbler and bread pudding are almost holy and two people can easily share these. Prices are good. For two kids and three adults, with deserts and drinks, we spent $73, not bad considering the amount of food you get.
Bring your appetite. You'll need it...

“Seafood Platter”
Reviewed March 9, 2010

Daughter had the Chef's Salad.. Didn't comment on it.

Onion Rings-tasteless. Are you using yellow onions? Just that the onion flavor is totally missing.~!]

Seafood Platter--Awesum!!! The oysters were Outstanding! The shrimp were huge...3-4 bite shrimp! Battered & fried to perfection.
Catfish was al-dente in the middle of the piece. I loved the fried shrimp and the oysters.

The service was pretty good..glass fillers, bussers, no service issues; no attitude from the servers.

This was totally worth the trip!!

“Boardwalk in Kemah, TX”
Reviewed March 1, 2010

Stopped at a quaint restaurant called "T-Bone Tom's" thinking it would be a different place to eat. I had their "Special" some kind of steak. It was costly: 11.99 and the steak was so done I couldn't chew it. Never saw the waitstaff after the food was served. The most frustrating part was we were starved and it took 45 minutes before the food was placed in front of us. My daughter-in-law had pulled pork that wasn't pulled at all; just clumps of pork.
