Part of the Houston City pass. Choose this instead of the zoo. A fair drive from Houston but once you are there its enjoyable. The kids had so much fun that we stayed there the whole day. Rides and attractions for the whole family. Food is OK.

They now charge $6 for parking which is crazy to me when growing up in Houston it was always FREE. I probably wouldn't return just to walk the boardwalk as we used to in the past. Other than that, it's great if you have kids. Come with AT LEAST $60 cash or you won't have any fun.

We actually had a fun family day here. The good points were the pier itself, the Gulf views, the quality of the rides, and Bubba Gumps Restaurant. However, a bit pricey for the ride tickets and $10 admission to "walk" on the pier? And rules regarding small children on the rides is a bit confusing.

I live in the DFW area and we went to Houston for a weekend. Took the kids to Kemah Boardwalk and they had so much fun. They loved the little train that goes around the whole boardwalk and we had a great lunch. My boys absolutely loved it. They have so much stuff for kids to have fun.

A delightful afternoon at this small, walkable and family friendly addition to this fishing town. Free parking, nice amusements, rides and boardwalk games. We ate at the Lighthouse Buffet overlooking the waterfront and strolled along the boardwalk. The breeze off the water helped make the high temperatures bearable. Only about an hour or so from Houston.
