FIrst off you don't get to go inside any buildings except the country store, which is open. What is the point of going on a ghost tour if you don't get to go inside any of the buildings. I could have just drove around in my car and saved the $26 I paid for me and my wife. Second the tour guide tries to make you believe she has a picture of a man with a beard and hat and all it is is a bright light in the picture.

“Ghost and History - A Great Walking Tour!”
Reviewed May 30, 2013

This was my 5th trip to Jefferson so I decided to take advantage of the local activities.
Jefferson has many historic buildings that are so well maintained. While this is a Ghost Tour, you get a better understanding of the grand history and the life of the town 100 + years ago.
Jodi Breckenridge, does a fabulous job of telling the story. She knows her Jefferson history and she shares a lot about the ghosts of Jefferson. Jodi speaks loud and clearly and keeps a steady pace - you'll never get bored.

They say there is more paranormal activity during new & full moons or when storms are happening. We toured when the moon was full and yes 3 people saw strange light activity from one abandon building. And being in the back of the General Store had a bit of an edge for me.

Wear some comfortable walking shoes (fair amount of standing and approx. 3/4 of a mile of walking) throughout the lovely town. Adult tickets are $12. You meet at the corner of Austin & Vale next to the Jefferson Hotel. Tours are Friday & Saturday 8-10pm. If it's a holiday weekend (Memorial Day, Labor Day) Jodi will also do a Sunday Night Tour. Tours are offered year round.

“A Great Historic & Ghostly Experience”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Jodi Breckenridge's "Historic Ghost Walk Tour" in the infamous City of Jefferson which is believed to be one of the "Most Haunted Towns in Texas" is the best around. If you are looking for something to do on a Friday or Saturday night from around 8pm to 10pm - it's the activity to check out. Jodi is a wonderful story teller whom, I understand, has researched & documented the ghostly tales that have been passed down thru the ages. Anywhere from "Old West" - "good guy, bad guy" shootouts, to the Diamond Bessie murder, to a jilted bride who was said to have taken her life in a local hotel, to Union Soldiers held in a nearby stockade - plagued with disease & death, to a famous movie director's ghostly inspiration derived from a more than 150 year old hotel in town are just some of the incidents & where they are said to have occurred which are related in this excellent & most interesting walking tour. Jefferson is entrenched in a rich history of colorful people who lived & died in the little town - a few of which are said to be still hanging around. I've been on this tour many, many times - bringing different friends & family along. I never get tired of hearing Jodi keep the oral history going in a such a well told & humorous manner. She encourages tour members to ask questions, take photographs or recordings throughout the tour. Also, as well as the "Historic Jefferson Ghost Walk," she encorporates hosting a bi-annual Spring & Fall "History, Haunts & Legends" Conference...They, too are worth your while. She adds specific indoor investigations to the mix. Practitioners in the field speak @ the conference throughout the day & paranormal groups lead investigations for the public, during the evening schedule. I've been on a few other walking tours & this by all means, tops them...You may not always see, feel or get evidence of a ghostly presence, but you will more than likely, have a very good time.

“A Very Good Tour”
Reviewed November 21, 2012

My daughter and I have done this tour twice, and each one is diffent. Jodi is a wonderful story teller. Some of the places are truly haunted and you can feel it. Jefferson seems to be a hotbed for the paranormal. We have had cameras and flashlights that have just given up as we were touring.Very Creepy.
