We stopped at Ruby's for lunch while on a road trip through the area. It is just off the highway (Interstate 35). The food and service was outstanding!
This is NOT an Armenian restaurant, as it is labeled by Tripadvisor, it is best described as southern home cooking. We had turkey and dressing, chicken fried steak, fresh vegetables and made-from-scratch, fresh-baked rolls. Everything was wonderful. In fact, the dressing was perhaps the best that I have ever tasted, made from their homemade rolls with plenty of celery and sage. We were too full to try their fresh-baked pies and banana pudding, but they looked great.
We will make this a regular stop when driving to the Austin area.
