Description: ...The opposite of a quiet, intimate sushi bar, the Blue Fish is enormous, loud, stylish and good. Where else can you find a signature roll called El Cubano ($9.50)? It's spicy pork, jalapeno, cilantro, Jalapeno pepper and carrots, with a sweet and spicy sauce. What's most refreshing here is that the menu is all Japanese -- no Thai food to confuse the palate. And to be honest, sushi purists will find plenty to keep them interested. Live specials such as Spanish mackarel, Sea Urchin, Live Hottate(scallop), Black Bass, mirugai (giant clam) and much more.Order the Ahi Tower to see just how well the kitchen can plate. It's tuna tartar and sesame oil over snow crab and avocado salad on a bed of wasabi infused rice. It's almost tragic to watch the server destroy this architectural marvel table-side to make it easier to eat. The "cake" portion of spicy tuna on crispy rice cakes in uzu and garlic sauce. It's delicious...

Had a group outing at the Blue Fish sushi house in Las Colinas (Irving, TX) location. We started with the awesome Ahi Tower which never disappoints. Another favorite of mine is the Summer Roll stuffed with crabmeat, vermicelli and mango. We tried a variety of rolls, including the Rainforest, Titan, Firecracker and Samurai. We did get a boat but I thought that it could have had more sushi in it for the price. The deserts were ordered to share and the mochi and berry tower were very tasty.

I've been to many Sushi restaurants throughout the world, including those in Japan. The US is trying to replicate the Sushi experience but adding American marketing to boost revenue. Typically the younger generations are fooled by this as the businesses appear to be trendy.

The Blue Fish in Las Colinas is no exception. It's nothing more than a hyped up experience with just marginally acceptable sushi.

The building is big, has plenty of flashy features, and pretty servers (male and female).

The sushi is grossly overpriced and boring. Flavors are not well developed. Presentation is good.
