We love this hotel. Plain and simple. We have been staying here since we discovered it 13 years ago. We love coming back. We have stayed at this hotel for big events like the Byron Nelson, smaller but no less important...LSU football weekends. The staff is the best. They juggle events in a professional but friendly style. They solve problems associated with big events like weddings and proms...they are unflappable. Last weekend we arrived on a Thursday with an intended check-out on Sunday. We made our hotel reservations months in advance due to the large LSU crowd who travel to out-of-town games, especially a game in Cowboys Stadium. Our family of 4..old adults & young adults love the corner suite with a connecting double. We have stayed in this type of room since we brought our kiddos to their first Byron Nelson tournament in 2002. The Room Service is off the charts great, with great selections for any time of day and we've used them all.
The weekend was busy with lots of LSU folks and another large group who were in town for a wedding. The M Bar was busy, there were plenty of bartenders and the Bar Menu is vast. The valet service is quick, the bellman always prompt even when the hotel is buzzing with guests.
The Breakfast Buffet is beautiful and delicious but admit we enjoy our Room Service breakfasts too much to dress and go downstairs.
I made a quick trip to the Spa for a nail 'do-over' and blow-dry...I called at 10:00 a.m. and was able to make a 1:00 p.m. appointment. The services I required were not time-consuming and I had a wonderful experience...pampered, fluffed and buffed.
When I write a review there are usually a few 'recommendations' I make, but not at the Mandalay. The Wi-Fi is complimentary, the bath soap is larger than usual..things are bigger in Texas, the shower pressure is great, the A/C worked great even though it was 107, plenty of electrical plugs and I have never heard an ice machine. The hotel is an excellent choice and we will continue our stays at the Mandalay!

Room Tip: We love the corner suites.

Have stayed there numerous times over the past 7 years for work. It has great amenities, a generous size room and is very clean. Friendly and helpful service. And now there is even a paddleboard location next to the hotel,

We enjoyed a lovely three day getaway in Dallas at the Omni. The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel is beautiful, and turndown service and morning coffee is wonderful. The beds are so comfortable, the rooms are large, and the view on the lakeside is peaceful and yet stunning. We will return to this hotel!

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the water for the best views.

Without being extremely expensive, this hotel offers excellent rooms, great gym and nice pool and jacuzzi. The food at the restaurants is really good, and the cleanliness is fantastic. But above all, the service is top notch. Everybody, from the doorman to the people that clean the rooms, bell staff, etc. are extremely friendly and helpful. Try it next time you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.
