What a fabulous getaway. The scenic view to Lake Carolyn is stunning. It has also a 45min trail. There are benches everywhere to sit and reax while enjoying the fabulous scenic view. The room is clean& nice. I requested view to the lake. The bed is so soft. Their Trevi's rest breakfast buffet offers great service & a big variety of food to choose from. I also vidited their M bar where you can grab a bite& very exotic drink selection while watching sports.

Room Tip: Request a room with view to the lake

We loved the peaceful decor and surroundings of this hotel which is away from the bustle of Dallas and located on a small lake. The staff were friendly, competent and attentive. Ask for a room with a city view! Although the regular rooms are already huge, an upgrade to a suite with a balcony is also an excellent option.

Everything about the Hotel was nice, Abit pricey but was relaxing. Had a suite with balcony on the 12th floor and the view was great. Nice to walk the canal, but not as many restatruants as there use to be. Rooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. Heated pool. Only ate breakfast in room and has numerous nice restaruants in the area. Staff was fantastic.

Room Tip: The suite was awsome, ours overlooked the canal with a balcony

Stayed here recently for four nights and wished it was longer. The welcome is exceptional, from the attitude of the staff to the complementary cold drinks and fruit in the reception area.
The co automatically make you a member of their loyalty programme when you book and this entitles you to promotions such as a free beverage delivered to your room each morning. And this is just one example of the added touches that make staying here special.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable with beds that seem to swallow you up. Top quality coffee machines are also a welcome bonus.
The gym is well appointed and the swimming pool area was lovely for sleeping off breakfast.
The negatives were tiny, staff unaware what shower gel is and the place becomes a bit of a zoo late at night if there is a large function on. But this soon passes and the noise cannot be heard from the rooms.
TIP: Pay extra and get breakfast included. The buffet choice is top notch and the wonderful porridge and other delights will last you all day. Also, the service was very good. After ordering poached eggs for two days and having a small wait, the waiter on seeing me enter on the third day told the kitchen to prepare them before we had even sat down! Good lateral thinking.

If this place did not have such a great view, it would be average. The check in was automatic, just doing business to customer ###, not helpful and did not volunteer any useful information. The rooms are huge, making them look empty. The TV's were nice with a good picture, but open the curtains and you will be rewarded with an even better picture overlooking the lake. The valet staff were the friendliest and provided helpful information. One major problem was only one desk in the room had the additional electrical outlets to keep phones, tablets and computers charged. So be prepared to unplug a lamp or two if you are needing some things charged.

This was a last minute reservation, and the previous reviews are correct about it being miles from anywhere. There are some nice shops within walking distance and a pathway around the lake to get some exercise in while you eat your complimentary apples.

The hotel has large bedrooms with all comforts, and especially comfortable beds. It is a bit dated though and the rooms would definately deserve a refurbishment. The location is pretty bad, and unless you need to work close by, I would avoid it, as there is absolutely nothing around it. The hotel offers a free shuttle service within 5 miles, which is good if that could take you anywhere interesting, and also if the hotel did not keep it a secret: they will only offer it if you ask for it.... Finally, the reception area often smells bad... Not sure what it is and the rooms are fine, but just not very pleasant.

Stayed a night here recently and had the best sleep I've had in months. The rooms are large and very nice and the bed was so comforable I didn't want to get up in the morning. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and the staff is always very friendly and accommodating. This is one of my favorite hotels...love it!

Room Tip: Rooms that overlook Lake Carolyn are my favorite.
