I've been hearing the hype about In and Out Burger ever since the Channel 4 News crew made a big deal about it coming to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. I've heard folks from California brag about these burgers for years and last week I got a chance to try it for myself. As a true foodie the hype was better than the burger and my wife and I were both disappointed. The place was crowded with people obviously enjoying their food, the counter service was excellent, the food was made fresh, but with only 3 choices on the menu (regular, cheeseburger & double meat with or without cheese) it leaves those of of with an adventurous palate still wanting. However, their obvious success seems to prove that people who love really well-made basic burgers like these are in the majority. As for me, I'll chase that well made bacon cheeseburger with all the trimmings over a basic everyday burger every time.
